What does Split PDF do?
Split PDF takes one PDF and exports selected pages as separate PDF files in a ZIP archive. You can split every page or enter page ranges. Selected page appearance and page dimensions are kept. Document-level bookmarks, links to pages in another split file, and document-level interactive features may not remain attached. Requested ranges must exist in the source.
How to use Split PDF
- 1Choose one PDF
Open Split PDF and select a single PDF. Unlock protected files first. The tool accepts one PDF per task.
- 2Pick every page or ranges
Split every page into its own file, or enter ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. Ranges that do not exist in the source are rejected.
- 3Split locally
Each requested page or range is written as its own PDF. Appearance and dimensions of those pages are copied; the original file is not modified on disk.
- 4Download the ZIP
The result is a ZIP containing PDF files. Open the pieces you need and check that range boundaries match the pages you intended.

One PDF is accepted per task. Requested ranges must exist in the source. Bookmarks and links that pointed at pages now in another split file may not keep working.

When not to use this tool
Do not use Split PDF to extract pages into a single new PDF — that is Extract pages. It is also the wrong tool for deleting pages from one remaining file, or for splitting a ZIP of many PDFs in one step.
If processing fails
Invalid ranges such as pages past the end of the file are rejected. Encrypted files must be unlocked first. Very large page counts can produce a large ZIP and may exhaust memory; split a smaller range instead.
Privacy boundary
The source PDF is read in this browser. Split files exist in memory until you download the ZIP or close the page. Contents are not sent to a PDF Smart Kit application server.
