What does Crop PDF do?
Crop PDF changes the visible margins of one PDF. You set top, right, bottom and left margins, and apply them to one selected page or all pages. Content inside selected margins and page order are kept. Content outside the new crop boxes is no longer visible. Cropping does not black out secrets the way Redact PDF does. One PDF is accepted per task.
How to use Crop PDF
- 1Choose one PDF
Open Crop PDF and select a single file. Unlock protected files first.
- 2Set the four margins
Enter top, right, bottom and left margins. Choose one selected page or all pages. Preview before you export.
- 3Export with new crop boxes
Supported content inside the new crop boxes is kept. Visibility of content outside the new crop boxes is lost in ordinary readers.
- 4Inspect edges
Download and confirm that needed text still sits inside the box. If you meant to destroy secrets, use Redact PDF instead of cropping.

Visibility of content outside the new crop boxes is lost in ordinary viewing, which is the purpose of the crop.
When not to use this tool
Do not use Crop PDF as Redact PDF. A crop changes what a reader shows; it is the wrong tool when you must permanently cover secrets. It also does not rotate or reorder pages.
If processing fails
Margins that leave no remaining area are rejected. Encrypted files must be unlocked first. If only one page should change, confirm you chose one selected page rather than all pages.
Privacy boundary
The PDF is cropped in this browser. It is not sent to a PDF Smart Kit application server. Close the page to clear the file from memory.
