What does PDF to PowerPoint do?
PDF to PowerPoint converts each PDF page into one PPTX slide in the browser. Extractable text becomes editable slide text. Pictures and other non-text artwork stay as slide artwork. The original slide structure is not recovered. Scanned pages need OCR first. Fonts and placement can shift, so review the deck before presenting.
How to use PDF to PowerPoint
- 1Choose one PDF
Open PDF to PowerPoint and select a single PDF. Unlock password-protected files first. One slide is generated for every PDF page.
- 2Confirm page order
The slide order follows the PDF page order. Extract or organize pages first if you need a different sequence. There is no extra slide-theme setting.
- 3Convert locally
Start conversion. Extractable text is placed as positioned text boxes. Non-text graphics remain as slide artwork behind or around that text.
- 4Download the PPTX
Open the file in PowerPoint or another editor. Check text boxes, images and slide size. Manual correction may be required before you present.
- 5OCR scans first
If a page is a photograph of a slide, run OCR PDF so later conversion can extract characters. OCR does not restore original PowerPoint animations.

The converter does not recover master slides, animations, speaker notes or original shape grouping. Exact font metrics and editable vectors are not preserved. Text that exists only as pixels is omitted until OCR is used.
When not to use this tool
Do not use this tool when you need the original PowerPoint file, motion, video, or a Word document. It will not rebuild a presentation theme from a printed handout. Use PPT to PDF when you already have a PPTX and only need static pages.
If processing fails
Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first. Unreadable files should be repaired. If slides contain only a full-page image and no text boxes, the source was likely a scan or flattened artwork; run OCR PDF and convert again, then edit text by hand where recognition failed.
Privacy boundary
The selected PDF is processed in this browser for the active task. Document contents are not sent to a PDF Smart Kit application server. The downloaded PPTX is saved only in your browser download location.
