What does PDF forms do?
PDF forms detects supported existing AcroForm fields, lets you fill them, and can add text, checkbox, radio, dropdown or list fields you drag on the page. Source PDF pages and supported existing fields and values are kept. Advanced XFA behavior and unsupported third-party field appearances may not work. Unsupported existing field types are shown but cannot be edited. One PDF is accepted per task.
How to use PDF forms
- 1Choose one PDF
Open PDF forms and select a single PDF. Unlock it first if needed. The tool inspects existing fields before you type.
- 2Fill or add fields
Detect and fill existing fields where the type is supported. To add new ones, set field name and label, page, drag position, and choice options for radio, dropdown or list fields.
- 3Keep names unique
Each new field needs a unique name. Radio, dropdown and list fields need at least two choice options. Unsupported existing field types remain visible but stay read-only here.
- 4Download the fillable PDF
Open the result in a reader that supports AcroForm. Advanced XFA behavior may not run. Test checkboxes and lists before you send the file.

When not to use this tool
Do not use PDF forms to build a certified government XFA package, to sign with a certificate (that is not Sign PDF’s visual mark either), or to edit body text of a paragraph — that is Edit PDF.
If processing fails
Duplicate field names are rejected. Choice fields with fewer than two options are rejected. Encrypted files must be unlocked first. If detection finds no fields, you can still add new ones; a paper form scan still needs you to place those fields.
Privacy boundary
The PDF and field values stay in this browser. They are not sent to a PDF Smart Kit application server. Close the page to clear filled values from memory.
